i look forward to this every year no matter how bad they are every year mostly because i wanna see something crazy, but the music OBVI matters...

nothing really special happened:

oh look nicki minaj looks retarded, wtf is gaga doing?, haha an acceptance speech fail...

EXCEPT THAT BEYONCE IS PREGNANT! YAYYYYY!!!

was i the only one who teared up when she rubbed her belly at the end of her performance and jay z was flipping out?! omg that was so beautiful!!!

now back to the music...

can i just say that gaga's intro to the show was like amazing? what she does every single time she steps on a stage is art and if you didn't like her performance well you're ugly.
while i liked jay z and kanye's performance, it was nothing special and they only did 1 song off watch the throne, wtf bro???
adele's performance was simple, but beautiful with THAT VOICE! ugh...
my favorite of the night tho goes to chris brown: the music (oh shit wu tang!), the dancing (epic as always), and he flew! like a lot of times! no one else flew...
the bruno mars tribute to amy winehouse was awesome ^__^ i love that song "valerie" even tho it isn't hers but who cares...
worst performance of the night goes to lil wayne - seriously? what in the hell was that??? he was getting eaten alive on my twitter tl and rightfully so. that performance was shit.
and jessie j? i had no idea who that was until the VMAs but i'm glad i know now - chick's got a voice! def youtubing her for a little while at work...

one video i do want to post is those woobies doing the britney spears tribute, they were so cute!!!

WHAT I THINK...
boy does this guy deliver. before i get into channel orange, i have to admit i didn't listen to ALL of nostalgia, ultra until i had channel orange in my hands.
i was obsessed with "we all try", i loved "love crimes", and "swim good" and "novacane" had radio play so of course i heard them. after hearing the whole mixtape tho, i was more excited to switch CDs and play channel orange...
1st run thru, "lost" was my absolute favorite. it took 3, 4, or 7 plays all the way thru for me to find something i wasn't exactly fond of... and that would be "pink matter". it upsets me, cuz boy do i love me some 3 stacks, but i just can't with that song.
back to the songs i DO like tho, the more i listened to the album leading up to his show at terminal 5, the more favorites i found. even the interludes are dope as sheeeeeet.
"sweet life", "crack rock", and "bad religion" tend to be on repeat when my computer is on, and "pyramids" became a favorite after i saw him perform it live.
the lyrical content and production is phenomenal. frank ocean just knows how to tell a story... this is an artist.
PLEASE buy a physical copy of this and listen. grab a glass of your favorite poison, throw some headphones on, and relaxxxxx. i don't see how you could be dissapointed.
