ANYWAY, so yesterday everyone and their mother (at least on my twitter tl) listened to "it's good" off weezy's new album: carter IV and went ape shit.
some wholeheartedly behind ymcmb, some begging the ym supporters to pipe down cuz jay z is king, and others saying it isn't a diss at all...
welllllllll, i listened and here's how i feel:
- 1st of all i'm a fan of all involved
- with that said, "it's good" is a poop song. i hate everyone's flow, and didn't hear one line where i went "ohhhhhhh"
- idc about that "80 problems" one. and in the words of one of my bff's "potato on the barrel, pop pop tater salad" is wack booty finesse
- now don't take that as ymcmb hate, because everyone knows i hate h.a.m. too (even tho i know the words, lol)
- what DOES bother me is that drake once said: "i never cried when pac died, but i probably will when hov does". so like does that still stand?
- and don't bust my balls about everyone quoting that line cuz they're all right.
- but then again, did drake say anything about jay specifically?
- in ymcmb's defense, i guess jay maybe got at them first by that whole baby money crap, but did he? idk...
- and poor jadakiss stuck in the middle... he was tweeting yesterday to leave him alone :( pobrecito...
- oh! and mr. carter is a great song - that's wayne and jay together... can't we all just get along?
i re-read what i just wrote and it looks like i'm on jay's side...
