who is outasight...

i never heard of this guy til roughly 7.4 seconds ago, but i like his song "tonight is the night" - kinda catchy...

anyways, some info:

he's a rapper from yonkers
real name: richard andrew
he's had several mixtapes out since 20007, but his debut album is set to be released in the coming year
started out performing in places like the nuyorican cafe
performed at a festival in '07 alongside acts like ghostface killah, skills, and consequence
was featured in XXL's "something to talk about" in '08
signed with warner bros. records in '09
collaborated with asher roth on the "catch me if you can" remix (off his "further" EP) in 2010
blah blah blah

i like this song better than "tonight is the night"...

WHAT I THINK...
boy does this guy deliver. before i get into channel orange, i have to admit i didn't listen to ALL of nostalgia, ultra until i had channel orange in my hands.
i was obsessed with "we all try", i loved "love crimes", and "swim good" and "novacane" had radio play so of course i heard them. after hearing the whole mixtape tho, i was more excited to switch CDs and play channel orange...
1st run thru, "lost" was my absolute favorite. it took 3, 4, or 7 plays all the way thru for me to find something i wasn't exactly fond of... and that would be "pink matter". it upsets me, cuz boy do i love me some 3 stacks, but i just can't with that song.
back to the songs i DO like tho, the more i listened to the album leading up to his show at terminal 5, the more favorites i found. even the interludes are dope as sheeeeeet.
"sweet life", "crack rock", and "bad religion" tend to be on repeat when my computer is on, and "pyramids" became a favorite after i saw him perform it live.
the lyrical content and production is phenomenal. frank ocean just knows how to tell a story... this is an artist.
PLEASE buy a physical copy of this and listen. grab a glass of your favorite poison, throw some headphones on, and relaxxxxx. i don't see how you could be dissapointed.
