soooo i finally got to sit down in peace and listen to this guy @MarvelAlexander's album "the spectacular"...

before i let you know my favorite tracks, i gotta give y'all a little info on the homie.

MRVL is...

(1) a musician: he plays a little piano and the sexy ass guitar. S/O to him for tuning mine for me ^__^ (2) a rapper: "the spectacular" being his first complete solo project (3) a producer: he's made beats for himself, ice edwards (who i must admit i've never listened to, but will once i'm done writing this thing) and shwiggy (check this post out). his 2 beat collections are up on his site for y'all to give a listen (links down below). and last but not least, (4) a mixer: having mixed for those same guys in that last bullet point... you know, number 3...

besides working on his solo craft he is also 1/3 of the supernatural collective - you may remember that name from an entry last month: "oh you ain't know".

back in june, my future ex husband scott mescudi previewed the trailer for "maniac" and released the full 10-minute clip yesterday as a treat for the tricks (owwww).

the short was directed by that cutie shia labeouf (who also worked on "marijuana") and features cage, who raps on the song "maniac" off of man on the moon II.

the film is a documentary, if you will, that follows 2 serial killers on their murderous adventures. i don't want to go into detail cuz y'all gotta watch - so click that play button yo!
